10 Things To Do With An Empty Notebook

Have you got a growing pile of empty notebooks and wondering what you could use them for?

  1. Sketchbook

Whether it is just doodling for leisure you’re a professional artist planning your next picture. Also you could use it to sketch a new logo for your business or club or idea for graphic designers and costume makers to plan their next move.

Why not go the whole hog and get some crayons and colour your pictures in, or give them to the kids to keep them off their Ipads.


  1. Travel Journal

Keep a log of all your happy journeys, the places you visited, the activities you took part in, the shows you watched. Why print off your favourite photo of your stay and stick it in your book for a great reminder. Also a good place to keep a list of who you booked with and places you want to visit if you ever go back.


  1. Bucket List

Sky Diving? Skiing? Swimming with Sharks? Going to Australia? Becoming World Champion?

What’s on your list? Jot it down in your book and keep looking at it for motivation especially in those sad times.


  1. Address Book

Nobody sends letters anymore do they? Do something different, send a card and raise a smile, have somewhere to log your family and friends addresses as backup for that time when you are just about to visit and your phone goes flat as you are putting their address in to your SatNav.

A great place to put down ideas for blog posts or social media posts. Make out a calendar and plan when you are going to schedule your posts. You never know when an idea will come to you so always carry your notebook.

Do you have an unusual work pattern that does not fit the normal Monday to Friday or 9 to 5 timeframe? Then grab a ruler and mark out days and times to suit your week.

You don’t need a book with a special layout – But it helps if you need prompts to get started – just grab a notebook and start writing. Jot down your thoughts, feelings, gratitude’s and dreams.

Set a page out for your guest list, timeline for sending out invites, booking rooms and cars etc, list of clothing, list your playlist for the night do. Draw up a timetable for the big day.


  1. Fitness Tracker

So you have a nice shiny FitBit on your wrist but do you actually analyse the results it provides? Write down in your book each day the distance you walked, number of steps you did and the route you took. Then at a glance you can see if you are consistently doing enough or if some runs/walks are shorter than others you can plan which one to do with the amount of time you have spare that day.
